I have been habituating myself to writing (again) and part of that has been reviewing what works I have in-progress. Time away from writing has done me a lot of good: Many of my drafts seem bloated or the plan is something very big. I don't know if I have the interest for massive, singular projects and anyway, reviewing my drafts made it clear to me that none of my projects need to be Big Things ™. As always, though, the best advice for any writer is not to throw anything out; instead, I've been breaking up my modules into different, little actual modules. Many Incursions that I assumed needed setting background have been broken up. The settings are interesting, but those can be system agnostic descriptions that can sit on their own. Incursions shouldn't be hexcrawls (at least not yet), so let me just add a narrative thrust to frame the Incursion.
