Friday Fave: The Great British Bake Off

Another busy week so I'm posting the Friday Fave on Saturday. I wonder if I should rename it the Saturday Special.Honestly, I don’t know how I’ve made it this far into my Friday Faves without mentioning the Great British Bake Off. Or Great British Baking Show, in the US, for some reason. Or Bake Off. Or just GBBO. (I actually had to check that I hadn’t because it was one of the first things that I thought of when I started this series.) Regardless, GBBO has become one of my favorite comforts over the last few years. The Series 5 bakers will most likely always be our favorite set. We started watching the show with Series 5 (“series” being the British term for “season”), which Netflix doesn’t have anymore as far as I can tell. (They also number the seasons differently so aligning them with the original British series is impossible.) Most seasons have a pretty great and diverse set of bakers, but I find we often refer back to new bakers by the archetypes they fit from that first season…
