So firstly my apologies for not blogging in over a month. The last few weeks have been insanely busy and I just haven’t had the time to sit for a while and write. I regret this as it’s been an experience worth blogging about, but I’ll try to condense it down into one post. I've titled this post "Escape to the Country", though we've been living the rural life for the last 16 years. Our new home, however, is even more isolated - it's a semi-detached, 16th century cottage on a lane that appears to have a total of just 5 residential properties, one of which is our landlord. There's no houses opposite us, in fact we actually have a garden on that side of the road with multiple horse paddocks beyond. Despite the seeming remoteness of this location, we are barely a few minutes drive from a thriving market town, and the same distance to a main arterial road that gets us anywhere in Suffolk we need to go.
