I was hiking the Pu’u O’o Trail, off Saddle Road, when I saw this Blackburn’s Blue Butterfly (Udara blackburni). This butterfly is endemic and is also known as the Koa Butterfly since the Koa tree is its main host plant. Posted for Bushboy’s Last on the Card. See more responses here.
