Alright – today we have some more models, albeit some 3D-printed ones. These models are freebies from Terrain4print listed as “Scifi crates for my space dwarf kickstarter” and they can be found at Makerworld, Cults3D, Printables, Thingiverse (and maybe some other places, too!) They’re set up as prints to represent markers “numbered” from 1, through to 6 – defined by the number of crates on each base. Since I’m on a bit of a Star Wars Legion-themed kick at the moment, I enlarged them slightly to have 50mm bases rather than 40k-oriented 40mm ones as the current POI size for Legion 2nd edition is 50mm bases. I painted these in a kind of blue-green-grey, based on the hard armour pieces worn by Imperial Army troopers in shows like Andor and General Veers in Empire Strikes Back – and easily base coated using Citadel’s Mechanicus Standard Grey spray paint that bears little resemblance to the pots of paint that share the same name but is quite close to AK’s Anthracite Grey, which allowed me…
