It’s now May 1st, the start of National Bike Month. Did you know there is a whole month dedicated to the celebration and promotion of biking? I didn’t until just last month. And Sunday, May 3rd, is National Ride A Bike Day. From The League of American Bicyclists, why celebrate bike month? “National Bike Month is so much more than 31 days in May. Since 1956, May has been recognized as National Bike Month, and the League has promoted this celebration of being on a bike for decades, as a means to advance the movement to build a Bicycle Friendly America for everyone.” I’m celebrating bike month because I recently bought a new bike and rediscovered the benefits of biking on a regular basis. I’m enjoying it for fun, exercise, and spending time with my kids. And since I’d like to rely on a bike for transportation, I’d love to see a movement…
