Read the full post at - Lassen Volcanic National Park after Dixie Fire Lassen Volcanic National Park was hit pretty hard by the Dixie Fire of 2021. We got to visit in Summer 2025 and saw not only how the land was recovering, but also how much it still impacted the Park after 4 years. The main impact was mudslides destroying roads due to lack of trees. But there was also just more sun, more barrenness, more wind, etc. The burned trees were not beautiful individually, but I was amazed at how you could still see the beauty in the landscape. I was also amazed at the size of the wildfire and how it truly is land that looks like it’s meant to burn, and how it’s humans who are out of place there.
