This is the third in my player skill post series (see Let’s Talk About Player Skill and Equipment and Let’s Talk about Player Skill and Notes). In this post I talk about how players can organise themselves to steal the really valuable stuff the GM has secreted away in vaults. Introduction and Inspirations This post has three inspirations: A general urge to give players (i.e., me too!) more useful tools when playing different kinds of adventures. The theory here is if all you have is a hammer (i.e., weapons and attacks written on your character sheet) then everything looks like a nail (combat). I’m drawing from Mike Shea’s categorisation of different types of prep to do for different types of adventures, and thinking about different adventure types from the player’s perspective.
