Happy Friday everyone! This week I’ve been hitting two games consistently whenever I have free time. Strangely enough my brain has decided that the best way to deal with the crunch of work and life has been to put myself through the meat grinder of Dark Souls finally. I’ve tried to play this landmark game a number of times and I’ve always enjoyed it, but something has always come up and got in the way. To be honest, the repetitive brick walls I’m hitting only to overcome them has been a meditative experience. I’m excited to finally be up to Blighttown and be questioning my life choices. But the big surprise this week was Vampire Crawlers, the first spin off of the acclaimed Vampire Survivors that spawned an entire genre. I never really “got” Vampire Survivors. Everyone kept selling to to me as this great game you can play while watching a shitty TV show or listening to a podcast. I just don’t play games that way.
