Sound of the River Lea on Whitsun Bank Holiday weekend

Walking back from the screening of Josh Geer’s wonderful film Leaves of London at the Castle Cinema, I stopped on the bank of the River Lea to capture the sound of the birdsong on my phone. They were in full voice, determined to sing above the background thump of the dance music festival in Jubilee Park.
