Orginal post: 52 Ancestors in 52 Weeks Heinrich Oberem, weaver and retailer, son of Johann Wilhelm and Catharina (Müsch) Oberem, was born in Ratingen 24 January 18291 and died in Bocholt 28 November 1902.2,3 He married first in Eckamp (Ratingen) 23 August 1851, Anna Maria Heckershoff, daughter of Johann Robert Joseph and Maria Gertrud (Buschmann) Heckershoff.4 She was born in Eckamp (Ratingen) 31 October 18325 and died in Mönchengladbach 11 October 1871.6 He married second in Gemen (Protestant) 4 May 18737 (in Bocholt [Catholic] 6 May 18738), Emilie Amalie Wilhelmine Abel, daughter of Johann Friedrich Wilhelm August and Christina Dorothea Wilhelmine Friedrica (Simdorn) Abel. She was born in Ueckermünde near Stettin (now Szczecin, Poland) 4 May 18429 and died in Bocholt 1 November 1907.10 By 1864, the family moved to Mönchengladbach and were living at Friedrichstraße 24.
