Usenet user Wes O’Neel really didn’t like the “PSX” in 1995

I found this funny Reddit post of a Usenet post from 1995. The original poster, Wes O’Neel, was unhappy with his new PSX and warned people against paying $500 without ever having actually played one to see if it was to their liking. The Reddit post just has a screenshot so here’s the actual text: If you’re thinking of getting a Playstation, don’t make the mistake I did and end up wasting $500 without ever having actually played one to see if it’s to you’re liking. I bought a PSX, extra controller, memory card, NHL Faceoff, NFL Gameday, and Battle Arena Toshinden. I also rented quite a few games for it. The result: I’m pissed off at all the hype which just isn’t true. NHL Faceoff is a big joke. It’s not even close to being as good as NHL 96 for Genesis. The game simply is not fun to play and so easy you wouldn’t want to play it past the first game. NFL Gameday is nearly a copy of Sports Talk Football for Genesis, and not as good.
