When I reached out to Jim about visiting this April he mentioned that his office was planning an outing to baseball game and asked, “Would you be interested in going?” I said I would be interested. I haven’t been to a major league game in more than a decade and it sounded like it could be fun. In the weeks between that conversation and my arrival in LA, Jim’s office changed their plans to go to a game later in the summer. Since the idea was already out there Jim and I took the day off today and went to the old ball game. Kyle was also able to rearrange his work schedule and joined us for the day. To avoid all of the ball game traffic Jim had us take the train from Anaheim to LA Union Station, which was definitely the way to go. It involved a 40 minute walk from Union Station to Dodger Stadium, but we arrived in plenty of time and walked through Olvera Street (the oldest street in LA) and Chinatown on the way.
