Reading The Books Afterwards

While getting caught up on my feed again this evening, I read Chad Comello's don't read the book before the movie post. To which I agree with wholeheartedly. Well, unless there isn't a movie yet. I'm not saying don't ever read a book just in case they make a movie out of it. But don't read the book just before watching the movie, which totally already exists, is sound advice. Ahem. I find sometimes it works even better for TV shows. Over the years I've posted about my love of The Expanse. It's a top five TV show of all time for me. Except, they ended the show without covering the remaining three books. Good heavens, that will never do. So of course I had to read them, and why not start back at book one? In December of 2023 I finished reading the ninth, and final, book in the series. To this day one of the best stories I've ever read. How could they possibly top the TV show? But top it they did. And the fun part is picturing the characters in your mind just as they are on screen.…
