To all the bands I’ve forgotten

Back before streaming when torrents were all the rage, there were so many bands I found through the odd song that popped up on Limewire during other searches, or were mentioned on MySpace or that I heard on a mix tape that I would have been a big fan of had I been able to explore them further. I had a limited amount of money for buying CDs and so I couldn’t afford to drop money on an album from every one of the bands that I came across this way that piqued my interest. Don’t get me wrong, I bought a lot of music, but there’s always so much to discover and my budget could only stretch so far. Now with streaming services, Bandcamp and even YouTube, exploring these catalogues is so easy. I wish I had these available to me back then. Now I have these tools at my disposal but a couple of decades have passed and I can no longer remember a lot of the bands I would have been a fan of had I been able to delve further.
