a weekend in hell

on friday i had been experiencing some pain in my upper right thigh area and it didn't really seem to go away, but it didn't get worse. i cleaned my house as normal, ignoring it. finally, i decided to lay down and see if i could relax it. once i laid down, the pain suddenly seemed much more severe. i felt a strange pinching sensation on my lower back that didn't go away no matter how i positioned myself. i started crying out of nowhere. i was so confused. i told my husband i didn't feel right and my back was hurting. he called me, heard my crying, and immediately left work to take me to the ER. by the time he came to pick me up, i'd already been in pretty miserable pain for about half an hour. the car ride to the ER was only the beginning of hell at this point. we get to the ER, and two women come rushing out to grab me, put me in a wheelchair, and are actually pushing past people to get me in. suddenly i'm in a room surrounded by 15 people, getting monitors stuck on me left and…
