It started on May 15th. We had to go on a beach trip, and so we didn’t sleep at all that day to be able to arrive in Sual at 8 AM, again, Who’d drive 9 hours to go to a beach? We would apparently. I was dizzy during that trip, exhausted. We took a nap the entire morning, but having to share the room with other people doesn’t really give you the comfort that one would need to get a good night’s sleep. We woke up at around 3, and still had time to enjoy the beach and chat with my family. By nighttime, I was still exhausted. I woke up at around 12 AM. It was hot. I was about to lose it when I found out the AC was not working. I opened the door in hopes of getting some cold out of the AC outside, but it turns out there was actually no electricity at all. That is not a conducive sleeping situation in the peak of summer at a transient house by the beach. We stayed awake until 2 AM when we had to go home. That’s day 2 of not having enough sleep.
