Random Catch-Up: H[NY|BD] Reflections, Salvaged PC, VodaQuirks & Public Transport Observations

Many moons ago, random postings would feature semi-regularly, with random observations, updates and happenings. But recently, things have gotten out-of-hand with things piling up, so they’ve been getting continually deferred. This does also mean that things accumulate inside my head, which makes for a messy working memory … time for a bit of a clean-up I’d say. Happy New Year, Happy Birthday to Me Wow. It’s 2026 already. I’ve always meant to write a Happy New Year post, but frankly, there wasn’t all that much happy to report on back then. Instead, a lot of different sorts of work had meant that I kept deferring it “until I had time”, while inside, I’ve been ruminating on thoughts about the future. This kept happening and now it’s almost the end of April and I still haven’t wished my readers a Happy New Year … so here it is. Happy New Year! But I suppose I can group happy occasions together, or perhaps should that just be just “occasions”, since I recently celebrated another orbit…
