For this post, a recurring monthly donation was set up for the child sponsorship program with the Canadian Palestinian Foundation of Québec, who provide humanitarian aid and support for Palestinian children locally and abroad. You can find out more about their important work here. Last night I went to Mac Barnett and Jon Klassen’s Roadshow for their “Now I See” series of board books. They’re traveling to different cities, with a local guest helping to moderate the conversation. For Montréal, it was Heather O’Neill. For those who aren’t familiar with their work, Mac and Jon are two of the best working children’s book makers. Among their many awards and titles, Mac is currently the 2025-2026 National Ambassador for Young People’s Literature, and Jon recently bestowed the Astrid Lindgren Memorial award, one of the highest international awards for children’s literature.
