WordPress and motivational speakers love to ask, “When do you feel most productive?” It’s always framed like the only correct answer involves waking up at 5 a.m., drinking hot lemon water, and journaling my intentions while the sun gently applauds me. In case you were wondering… I do not. I feel most productive when there’s a snack involved. Not just any snack. An event snack. A snack that requires planning. Assembly. Possibly a small spreadsheet. Give me a block of cheese, some crackers, maybe a handful of grapes, and suddenly I’m operating at a level usually reserved for NASA launches. I’m slicing, arranging, stepping back to assess. “Does this say ‘casual elegance’ or ‘woman alone on a Tuesday’?” It says both. And I’m okay with that. I can build a snack charcuterie board like nobody’s business. Not a real charcuterie board. Nothing that would impress a French person. But something that says, “I own at least three small bowls and I’m not afraid to use them.” Oh, and I am phenomenal…
