Scribed by Sandre the Giant Released: 30th April 2006 There is much to write and read about the life and times of Dissection and particularly their main creative force, Jon Nödtveidt, but perhaps the most important part of the whole sordid history is their unfathomable influence on so much of modern extreme metal. Sure, it is a tale of murder and Satanism, of savage riffs and suicide, of controversy and musical masterpieces; but it is an incredibly compelling story. ‘Reinkaos’ was the band’s last full length, written between his release from prison for complicity in murder and his eventual suicide, just a few months after the release of this record. Inspired by the works of the Misanthropic Luciferian Order, of which Nödtveidt was a member, ‘Reinkaos’ has a lot of mental baggage attached to it.
