Last week felt like a blur. Being back at work after over a week off is never fun, but I was so busy that five days felt more like three. I started playing two new games: Tavern Keeper and Under Par Golf Architect. Tavern Keeper is an absolutely fantastic management game amongst the likes of Two Point Hospital (or Theme Hospital, if you are a little bit older...) I played through the first two scenarios over the weekend, and Tavern Keeper managed to keep me up way past my bedtime for the first time in ages. I really want to like Under Par Golf Architect but honestly it feels a bit underbaked. The core premise is absolutely fantastic: build the best golf course and you can even play your own courses! The implementation fell a bit flat for me though; terraforming felt like a chore so most of my courses were mostly flat affairs, the path finding for your players was also quite comically bad: even if you set waypoints, they would aim straight for the hole regardless of any obstacles you…
