Besides translating to moon in Spanish, my parent's have also used Luna to refer to the car glass pane or windshield. And our Toyota Tacoma is also named Luna. Over the weekend the most ironic thing happened: A crack on Luna's luna. We were driving on the way to my sister's pickleball birthday social and it was raining very heavy. There was a loud sound like a pebble striking somewhere on the car. We drove for about six more miles until we noticed the crack on the windshield. Ugh, it was so devastating. There were many thoughts running in my head but of course my initial defense mechanism led me to instinctively faulting my husband for driving too fast. He wasn't -- but I had to keep telling him to slow down. Realizing that it wasn't helping the situation, I instead started researching what we have to do get it fixed and if replacing the windshield impacts the car's value.
