Since the Demon Plague was put to death we in Coastend rested. Disposed of the dead, rebuilt houses and we returned to work. The three months since then busy with work passed by in a whirlwind. But during that time rumors reached us of a deadly menace. Can there be no peace? Ever more strife! Icebrunt always suffers. It was said there were monstrosities walking across the land. Conglomerations of animals as large as the mountain. Rumors must be false such claims are wild. How could they be so large? Yet we just survived reviving dead slaying those still alive. We knew of this truth, the Demon Plague. These giants could be real. I hoped we were safe in the cold north far away from this threat. We saw a turtle far to the west cresting the horizon. It trundled closer and then we saw it had a horned bull head. Ant like legs carried its bulk towards us we were in dire trouble. My people moved not, terror stricken, we watched our doom approach.
