I have had a very busy time in California and this weekend I was able to turn my brain off and watch movies with Jim and Steve. All of the movies were entertaining, but we focused on quality not quantity. We also focused on the horror genre. High Tension (2003) – A French horror movie that manages to distinguish itself beyond being just a slasher film with a sort of unknowable twist. Stir of Echoes (1999) – Kevin bacon goes a little nuts in this sort of gritty version of Sixth Sense. IT Chapter Two (2019) – I watched IT Chapter 1 in the theater with Jim and Steve back in 2017 so it just made sense to watch the second half now that it is streaming. I reread this book last year so it was fun to see where they changed things. Predator: Badlands (2025) – This was a surprising good movie with lovable aliens and androids. Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey (2023) – Winnie-the-Pooh went into public domain in 2023 and someone decided to make a horror movie franchise out of it. According to the…
