This is rad and came by way of the folks at Hong Kong Foodies – they’ve got a lot of Demae Iccho varieties I’ve never seen before and were kind enough to send them my way! Let’s try this classic variety which uses Hokkaido wheat flour. Nissin Demae Iccho 100% Hokkaido Wheat Flour Sesame Oil Flavor Instant Ramen Detail of the packaging (click to enlarge). Unsure if it contains meat so check for yourself. To prepare, boil noodle in 500mnl water for 3 minutes. Add in sachet contents. Finally, stir and enjoy! An instant noodle block. A sachet of soup base powder seasoning. A sachet of sesame oi. Finished (click to enlarge). Added narutomaki, chashu, egg, scallion, and sesame seed. The noodle is most certainly different – and better. It’s got more chew than the standard variety I’ve tried. The broth is full and the sesame oil just makes it so sumptuous.
