Prismatic Wasteland has once again put out the call for a blogwagon, this time about maps, and I’ve got to land this hot air balloon before the deadline hits. This is a small appreciation post for what I consider the gold standard of a detailed fantasy world map. Let’s dig right in. Here it is. The map of Echesea by Worldspring. It’s a big file, so I recommend right clicking on it, opening the image in a new tab, zooming in on the first thing that catches your eye, and exploring. My good friend originally found this map on the Daggerheart subreddit, showed it to my home group, and I then shared it in the Prismatic Waystation discord. The result of everyone seeing this map has basically been a universal experience. Your eye immediately finds something eye catching, you zoom in, and you start exploring. It quickly becomes a screenshot extravaganza with you snipping cool parts and showing them to anyone that will listen. I think just looking at the map is proof enough of why it’s so…
