Every fourth Sunday of the month, I would volunteer my time at the community recycling centre. For three hours, I would carry heavy stuffs and separate items for recycling. The job was both dirty and smelly. I still had a good time as all the volunteers are passionate about recycling and the atmosphere is pleasant. When I was still schooling, my mother would always warn me to study hard. If I fail at school, I will grow up working in a rubbish dump as no one will hire me. Now I am all grown up with a family, I still ended up working in a dump with no pay! Different circumstances but leads me to the same location - a recycling centre. The later was by choice while the former is by lack of prospects. As such, we feel "trapped" is because there is no choice to leave. How do we feel less "trapped"?
