No hard feelings if you prefer to read here, I just wanted you to know! ✌️It seems Dark Horse Comics will close their “Things From Another World” retail stores by the end of June. For me, the Beaverton location is the greatest loss. Originally named Pegasus Books, it was founded by brothers Mike and Pat Richardson. Mike went on to found Dark Horse Comics, purportedly from the back room of that very store. This particular storefront was immortalized as a setting in Boris the Bear, one of the earliest Dark Horse series: Excerpt from Boris the Bear #2 (1986) Excerpt from Boris the Bear #3 (1986) Growing up, I saw a few different comic book stores come and go, but Things From Another World (I called it “tee-faw” once I stopped calling it “Pegasus”) was a constant.
