on documentation

I have spent most of this week on a beautiful island in the Caribbean. I have taken 3 photographs the whole time. Part of that is the fact that I've been busy attending a wedding and the various hoopla surrounding it, the larger part is I've become ok with not needing to document everything. I think there's value in being able to look back, but I'm not sure that at this point I actually benefit from having a photo of a meal I ate rather than trying to remember how it actually tasted. Maybe take a moment today and don't document something unless the documentation has actual value, just let things be temporal and in a way not meant to last, sometimes it's better that way.
