He’s a music educator evaluating K–12 music education systems, and he wants someone to look at his measurements and statistics.
Ned Kellenberger writes: I’m a music education researcher working on a book that constructs an international index of K–12 music education systems — indicators, weights, and rankings across 20 developed countries. (Measuring Music: An International Framework for Comparing K–12 Music Education Systems) I understand your expertise in statistics, and how they intersect with the humanities. My question is what’s the best way to have the measurement and statistics competently checked? Should I be looking for a particular kind of applied statistician or methodologist, or is there a vetting approach you would recommend for a project like this? My recommendation is that he should talk with a statistician or methodologist at a school of education.
