Friday 5: Deeper familiarity

Happy Friday! Today is National Vanilla Pudding Day (ye gods it’s been a long time since I’ve had that) and National Maritime Day (yay boats!). And it’s my FIRST! SUMMER! FRIDAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY of 2026! Cue the 90s hype music (see below). The weather this four day weekend (*airhorn noise*) is cloudy, rainy, rainy, and damp. The temperature won’t get above 65°F. As I recall, it was miserable last year as well. Today we ran errands: library, dry cleaning, etc. And I spent the rest of the afternoon burning my digital music collection onto CDs. In true 90s fashion, one of my 50 blank CDs was corrupted and couldn’t be burned. I’m not even halfway through the music, but it’s nice to have physical media again. If I could go back in time and make one minor change, I would stop myself from ripping all of my CDs onto the computer and tossing the originals. Here is the Friday 5!
