the native rose (left and in front of trunk) seems to be taking off since I cleared the blackberry around it (I am a little wary of getting close to this tree now I know the back is hollowed out) Win of the week: vanilla ice cream was on sale so I baked apple crisp Looking forward to: baking this sourdough lemon bundt cake Stuff I did: 4 hours consulting investigated project management tools for client collaboration — they all seem to have gone AI 😒 checked out Hive and Notion but wound up at Trello, which I’ve liked for personal use and isn’t overly complicated like most other tools seem to be — all I want is a shared to-do list accessible across orgs validated my retirement cost estimate against our actual spending to refine our target number… right now we exist in this happy place of basically buying whatever we want without stressing about our budget (but are instinctively frugal and save up for big stuff)… but to “guarantee” that relaxed approach forever we’ll have to work a lot…
