Preparing to move, another golden age mystery novel, and more unscripted television. I have been spending the past week packing. But really calling it packing is misleading because over half the time and energy was spent on getting rid of stuff. And I love getting rid of stuff, in principle. But the actual act of getting rid of stuff has been so much work. First, I had a lot of old clothes and shoes that I don't fit into any more, don't suit me, or never really wore. Those went into garbage bags to the charity shop where I often buy clothes and shoes. I also threw in some old bedsheets and pillowcases. Then I also donated the jigsaw puzzles that I had bought there and already completed. And some random kitchen and household stuff. It took four trips to carry it all over. That was the easy part though. There's plenty of stuff the charity shop and other places don't take.
