Switching Things Up

We’ve been spending the past two weeks rearranging our office space at home, and while I went into it knowing how much work it would entail, it has somehow managed to be even more involved than I had expected. We have a finished basement, which was one of the primary reasons for getting this house in the first place. As a (lapsed) musician with musician friends I wanted somewhere to keep all of the musical instruments set up so that they were able to be played at any time. We originally had our office on the other side of the basement from the music setup but after redoing the room upstairs a few years back we had decided to move the office up there and the basement has been relatively unused since. The Girlfriend has been getting more and more interested in crocheting and knitting so we decided that she was in need of a dedicated crafting area to keep everything in one place and organized rather than randomly sprinkled throughout the house.
