How did I not come across this before?Recently I wanted my MacBook to play through an external speaker and the built-in speakers at the same time. Turns out Apple ships an app for exactly that! It’s called Audio MIDI Setup. You can open it from Spotlight, or for the nerds: open -a "Audio MIDI Setup" Your audio devices show up in the sidebar. Hit the small + in the bottom-left corner, choose Create Multi-Output Device, then tick whichever outputs you want in the list. Super helpful for when you want to watch something with someone else. It’s surprising Apple actually made something easier for once. Looking at you, XCode!
