It's been 4 months since I've made a break with Trek. Heck, it's final time to return! This marks it the first episode I've seen in my post-smartphone era, and it shows. We start with most of the Borg-children leaving the crew. It's the second episode, so I guess authors had bigger plans which never came to fruition? Seems so. Naomi is also severely underutilized. A few minutes in and we've got only one left - Icheb. And Icheb has plans to become a certified star fleet officer, something Seven never did. Soon after, Seven's cortical node starts breaking and she may die I've seen Picard and I knew that she will live, but it was still gripping. Icheb becoming more and more ambitious could make sense - if she is no longer part of the crew, he may take her place. The show did not go in that direction. Instead of an internal fight, we get scenes of the close those two ex-Borg are. Cute and touching. I'm glad authors left most of the children behind, as it was not playing to anyone's…
