Today, I am holding back the tears as I reflect on the email I sent my husband a year ago when we closed on our first home together. Subject line: Our new chapter! Date/Time: Wed, Apr 23, 2025, 6:18 AM I can’t believe today will be the start of another new beginning and chapter together. It feels like just yesterday in 2022 we were laying on the corduroy thinking about our future and future goals… starting to save some money each month so that one day we can reach our goal of becoming homeowners… We even wrote all of our goals in a little white board… some of those goals have changed but the meanings of them have not. Today, I am so proud of us.. I am proud of how hard we have both worked to get here… I'll always remember the times I would cry after leaving the Zillow app bc I felt like we would never get our dream… I will always remember all the prayers and rosaries we said… I will remember the sacrifices we made to be able to afford this home… I will remember our journey.
