Hello wonderful people inside of the internet and welcome to the end of another week on planet earth! I returned to Shanghai yesterday, and have just arrived home from a ktv trip with the cello and bass section of the folk orchestra. I await the day when ktv catches on outside of asia; the rest of the world doesn't know what it is missing out on. Watching The color purple was a wholly depressing film. Even the nice happy ending was not actually happy. Despite that, the acting and musical direction was excellent, and the cinematography was also not bad. Seems there's been a new version made, so it'll be interesting to see how that compares. Stand by me was a rewatch and it's still a pretty excellent film. Again, excellent musical direction, and surprisingly good acting for a bunch of children. The plot is sometimes a little thin but that didn't stop me crying multiple times. Sister act was another rewatch and became the first film to topple one of my original fours. I haven't watched…
