Against the doom and gloom, there are pockets of joy. Yesterday, my partner and I celebrated our third anniversary. We’ve been dating for three whole years (but have known each other a bit longer), and recently they even moved in with me. It seems like these milestones, which look tiny in the grand scheme of things, have the power to bring me back to myself. We decided to take the day off and be together. We woke up, had breakfast, and went to a department store so that I could my anniversary gift for them (I got them a perfume, they got me a book). After that, we bought some berries from the food hall and enjoyed them on the train. We stopped at Waterstones, where I bought Survival Show by Juno Dawson. After a quick browse at a make-up and skincare store, we went to have lunch at a sushi bar. Before we got home, we stopped by a pet shop to get treats and accessories for our cat.
