Hey there! The doors to the 95,000-square-foot literature haven opened on Saturday. It’s impressive. It’s the second-largest branch in the Multnomah library system, boasting unique offerings such as a 200-seat auditorium, an audiovisual studio, an outdoor plaza, and a rooftop terrace. We have watched this thing being built in our backyard since 2023; it’s nice to see it’s finished. The branch holds over 200,000 items and employs at least 51 staff. Opening day celebration offered free coffee (we missed it by the last person) and free tamales. Yum yum. If you are ever in the area, come stop by (and say hi! We are nearby).
