Shortly after I started this round of blogging I saw a referral link from bubbles.town1 I was curious what this was, usually an unknown referral is something spammy, but I’d never seen this one before so I checked it out Bubbles.town is a project written by a developer named Ben to promote the smaller parts of the social internet About Bubbles Somewhere out there, someone wrote a really good blog post today. You’ll probably never find it. Google won’t show it to you. Social media buried it under engagement bait. Bubbles tries to surface it. Community voting applied to thousands of personal, independent blogs, with identity and discussion routed through the Fediverse. This link allowed me to find Bubbles very early on (it is only one month old) and I have discovered several new blogs.
