13 months with the Yarbo Modular Lawn Robot

I had a fairly uneventful couple of months where most things have worked but I’m also using the unit a bit less. I’m waiting on some firmware updates for the trimmer before I attempt that again as at least in my use cases it’s occasionally going the wrong way. This is a running log of what’s going on and I’ve been doing them month by month so as the software changes there’s a chance the experience changes as well. May 21, 2026 – The Yarbo of Theseus A week or so ago the unit was convinced it was about a foot further west than it was. Wandered out of bounds and broke off the HaLOW antenna mount and embedded itself in a space between my tire and bumper. No damage to the car, the antenna mount was destroyed and the HaLOW reception was… unaffected. It’s not good, but I suspect that last incident with the chain-link fence it probably broke the antenna mount then. I’ve been noticing it switching to cell occasionally when on the other side of the house. They’re sending me a replacement kit…
