we make the days shorter by sleeping in & spend the nights drinking gin with limes & complaining about the heat while the fan lazily twirls & keeps away flies but wouldn't it be so much nicer to be naked in a shaded pool with no one around but the moon & you & another bottle of gin & maybe some more limes & a plate of something salty but not too salty since when I lick the sweat from between your breasts I want more salt than you can give but nothing with crumbs thankyouverymuch so saltines are right out & you know I don't like tinned fish so none of that shit but still it would be nice, wouldn't it, to lounge beneath a dark sky & watch the bats & moths swing back & forth above the treeline with the patio lights turned low so the neighbors don't know. But they probably do.
