I posted yesterday about how I wanted to create for the fun of it, which I stand by, but I find myself thinking about how I also want to build something worthwhile1. I don't mean the same old corporate shit or a get rich quick scheme, I want to build something that is worth the time, effort and energy. Now, if I was to take the advice of someone like Cal Newport, I'd be told that I don't have the 'career capital' to be able to make this a success. He's probably right. Which sucks. I don't want to continue on the same track that I have been doing, I feel like my mind is being turned into mush with each passing day because there's no real challenge and instead I'm caretaker to a bunch of ungrateful and entitled people. Does anyone know of the best way to get into a tech career of some kind? I'm aware that's very broad, but I have no idea where to start and even less idea on where I'd go, but I do know I've found myself having the most fun when I've been tweaking my CSS and seeing things…
