We got a new bike!

I’ve mentioned it before, but we got a new bike a few weeks before and I absolutely love it! It’s a longtail cargo bike, meaning that it has a longer and reinforced luggage rack. And the luggage I’m carrying around? Well…kids. 😅 This is an Urban Arrow Breeze, a pretty new model that we tried on a whim when we went looking at cargo bikes a few months ago. The main reason we went looking at all was, that my 6 year old is now too big and too heavy for a kids seat and kinda also too big for the bike trailer we have. He’s an avid bike rider, but he doesn’t have enough stamina yet for a longer tour. And while Freiburg is generally a bike-friendly city, that doesn’t necessarily mean that the roads are safe for kids. I have to admit that I wasn’t fully convinced when we went to the shop to try it out. I only got to ride it for a few minutes and while it felt okay, it handled a bit sluggish1.
