Time for another monthly roundup! That special time of the year where I vigorously yap about the games I’ve been playing, what games in my backlog I want to tackle next, and even some new music and podcast junk and stuff. CANNONBALL ⚽💦 ▶ Now Playing → Soul Blazer (SNES) I’d read about this game on a list of the best JRPGs on SNES and I was immediately interested. I’ve played a bit of Illusion of Gaia and Terranigma, but I’ve never beaten any of these Quintet games and I think it’s time I changed that. They’re pretty dang short compared to other SNES JRPGs, so why not? In this game you play as a servant of The Master (basically god) who’s tasked with rescuing the imprisoned souls of the people of the world and restoring it to what it was before the evil Deathtoll came along and ruined it all.
