The highlight of the work week was playing D&D on Wednesday. It was session five of my original two-part adventure, I woefully underestimated how long it’d take but it was a lot of fun! There was a very long battle in which several characters nearly died, but they were successful and completed the first little adventure. I think everyone wants to carry on playing which is great, means I need to do some more planning! I got some quite intense and sad family news this week that I’m not quite ready to talk about properly yet but it’s weighing on me a bit. We took Friday and Monday off to have a long weekend in Matlock with J&C. I drove up on Thursday evening and C showed me how to use the cruise control on Alison’s car. Absolute game changer for motorways. On Friday, Charlotte and I drove to Hull to help her mum do some house clearance – her granny moved into a flat a while ago and her house has finally sold.
