In my last thoughts post I said that I was ditching the Yashica MF-2 for a Konica Z-Up 120. I didn't end up buying the Konica, but instead came out of the weekend with a Pentax Espio 738G.1 I decided Friday that I was going to return the Yashica for a refund. Both cameras cost $40 (the Yashica was $39.99 + tax), so in all it would be a wash. But then on Sunday I got my photos from the Yashica back. I posted some samples on my photo blog. While many of the test shots in poor lighting conditions went as expected (poor quality, some majorly under-exposed) the shots I got in excellent lighting turned out amazing - for a fixed-focus camera that is. So now I'm faced with a decision again. Should I stick with my plan and return the Yashica? I like what I got with it, and knowing its limitations I know I can get more good shots. I might try some 100 ISO film with it (the camera is only capable of using 400 or 100 ISO - there's a toggle). Apparently that is really good for bright & sunny…
