This is fun – Pocketables unlimited hosting plan reached limit

When we signed up for this there was 20 gigs, unlimited bandwidth. We pretty much instantly were told that yes it was unlimited bandwidth and we had 20 gigs but that didn’t include inodes, which a 20 year old site needs a whole lot of. Also unlimited didn’t include CPU time which we hit the limit because someone decided to deploy an AI scraping bot called ThinkBot on Pocketables which evidently hit so much our CPU time ran out and downed the site. Interesting because multiple hits are generally throttled by Wordfence, but not this one. Logs include the string “”Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Thinkbot/0.5.8; +In_the_test_phase,_if_the_Thinkbot_brings_you_trouble,_please_block_its_IP_address._Thank_you.)” but the IP addresses are all over the place and not even in a range. Thinkbot, just the last 5 minutes Blocked the agent, doesn’t matter, it still keeps coming. Interestingly attempting to block several of the thinkbot IPs I get “cannot block IP” on the admin dashboard which I suspect means…
